Good shooting and have a great day! – BB

Great video on one of the best non-civilian PDW designs ever made. Everyone who knows anything about KAC hopes that, one day, this system will be available on the civilian market. Enjoy this content.

(Note: I do not own this video – it is the sole property of Future Weapons and youtube user “freeloaderforlife”. I am just sharing this video to pass the word along on this great weapon system).

We took an old steel railroad tie plate and hung it from a tree!  It was a blast to shoot from 30-50 yards.  We let it have it with .308, .223, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 Auto, and .22LR and the thing stayed mostly together.  Check it out:

Quick video of us at the range with the DSA FAL.  We were shooting some low-power steel cased WOLF ammo, so we had some malfunctions to deal with, but still had a great day on the range.

In this video, Trey goes over the changes that KAC has made for 2012 to it’s famous SR-15 and SR-25 weapon systems.  These rifles are some of the best production rifles in the world in 5.56 and 7.62.  Get your pocketbook out and throw it in the trash!!!

In the USA, there are lots of ways to buy a gun.  You can buy one at a retail dealer down the street.  You can buy one at a pawn shop.  You can purchase one at a gun show from dealers or individuals.  In some states you can even purchase them face to face with a friend with no paperwork.  However;  In recent years, it has become extremely popular to buy firearms through Online Gun Auction websites and have them transferred to your local FFL.

The Online Gun Auction trend has become popular for three reasons:

  1. Auction sites provide a Better market for sellers (more buyers)
  2. Auction sites provide More options for buyers – a huge selection and number of items for sale
  3. Ease of use – You can buy a gun online while sipping a beverage and kicking back in your recliner!

The fact is that, yes, it is easy to buy guns online and you can find great deals, BUT if you are not careful you can be shafted in a hurry.  So we need to go over how to make your purchase, and then how to protect yourself from scams.  First, let’s take a look at the process:

HOW TO BUY A GUN ONLINE – Online Gun Auctions:

1.)  Visit and Register – Visit one of the top online gun auction sites.  As of this moment, the top three auction sites (in order of popularity/size) are:  http://www.gunbroker.com http://www.gunsamerica.com http://www.gunauction.com.  So go on, pull up another window and register/log in to one of these sites.  The site will have you fill out an information page with your email/details and then have you create a username and password.  Next, the site will send you an email to confirm your registration.  That’s it!  Now you are free to browse and purchase firearms and accessories on their auction site.

2.)  Buy something – Okay, this is done by searching for an item that you are looking for and bidding on it or using Buy-it-now to buy the item.  Auctions start the bidding at a price designated by the seller.  Gun auctions are posted on a time basis – the average auction is around 7 days.  Your first purchase is very important.  Why?  Because online gun auction sites use a Feedback system to keep users informed of who’s good to deal with and who to stay away from – just like eBay!  So, if you are a previous eBay user, this will be a breeze for you.

  • Your starting feedback score is Zero!  0.  Sellers do not like to sell big items to people who have not established some reputation – so that’s what you need to do.
  • It is wise to make your first purchase something small – a weapon magazine or a box of ammunition – something around $50 or so.  Find the item you want and click Buy-it-now (remember we need to build a reputation fast so that we can come back and buy that gun we want)

3.)  Contact the Seller – When you purchase the item using Buy-it-now, you will receive an email from the auction site.  You will receive the Seller’s contact information in the email.  Send them an email and say “Thanks for the auction.  Please send me an invoice and let me know what payment you accept.”  The payment credentials were probably listed right in the auction, but we are building a habit of good communication here!

4.)  Seller Sends Invoice / Details – The Seller will give you a total with shipping and/or insurance and will notify you how to send them payment – usually this is Postal Money Order, Certified Check, or Paypal.

5.)  Pay the Seller – Follow payment instructions, complete the transaction, and you should receive your item within a few days!

6.)  Receive Item – Unbox that freshly bought item and use it, but first inspect the item properly for shipping damage and proper function.  If there is a problem – you need to notify the seller immediately.

7.)  Leave Feedback – Leave honest feedback for the Seller and if things have gone smoothly you should have your first positive feedback!

8.)  Repeat!

By now you should be a pro at this Online Gun Auction thing – you are now ready to repeat the previous steps and purchase that firearm!  Here are some tips to remember when purchasing a weapon from an Online Gun Auction:

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM SCAMS:

  1. Never purchase a weapon or any item from a Seller with Negative Feedback (B+, C, 85% positive, etc).  This is a huge no-no.  We want to purchase from reliable Sellers who have been there done that, and received high marks.
  2. Never deal with a User with Zero Feedback – Stay away from Zero Feedback users – they are not to be trusted.
  3. Never send money without an invoice.
  4. If the deal is too good to be true – it probably is.  IF you see an item worth $1000 for sale for $300, you should be very careful.  Check item values against recent or current auctions to make sure that your purchase is a reasonable value.
  5. Never do a deal outside of the Auction Site.  IF someone contacts you and says they need to do the deal “over the phone” or “they need your card info” without there being an auction first – it’s probably a scam.

That’s it!  PLEASE REPLY AND TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH Online Gun Auction Sites.  And remember – every time you purchase a firearm you are making an investment for the future and you are supporting our Constitutional 2nd Amendment Right!  Thanks for tuning in~TGB
